Rachel Brown

Hi there! I’m Rachel. I am a full-time artist based out of Austin, TX. My work is inspired by my love of animals and travel- two of my favorite things. All of the pieces are made to be mixed and matched, and are created to inject life and personality into a room. Exploring new places and foreign lands is the air that fans the flame of my inspiration. In addition to capturing the local flora and fauna of the area, I am also heavily inspired by the color palettes, landscape, and patterns and explore these within my abstract collections. Using watercolor, pigment inks and charcoal, I strive to capture the spirit of each place I visit with simple gestures and minimal strokes. There is a sense of whimsy and playfulness in my work.. undoubtedly because I have so much fun creating each and every piece.
